Brown Sugar Glazed Ham
So good you’ll eat until you glaze over.
A glazed ham seems about as comfort food as it gets, and this glaze takes things to the next level. It’s incredibly easy to make and requires only a bit of vigilance as you baste the ham in its last 30 min of cooking.
I also love to turn the broiler on for the last 5-10 minutes to get that crunchy caramelized topping crisped right up— it’s a perfect recipe for special days, holidays, and every other day. —CFG
Ingredients:
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup grainy Dijon mustard
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Pinch of flaked smoked sea salt
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir continuously until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is fully combined, about 5–7 min.
Simmer the mixture on low for 2-3mon, then remove from heat to allow mixture to thicken as it cools.
Cook ham according to package/weight instructions, then brush the glaze mixture over the ham during the last 30–45 minutes of baking.
Baste the ham every 10–15 minutes for a sticky, flavourful coating, and broil for the last 5-10 minutes to crisp the glaze.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for ~5min.
Slice, serve, and enjoy!
